Matthew Dickstein, CEO of Creative Learning Systems, has been a successful entrepreneur in the field of education for over 25 years. Prior to joining CLS in 2004, he played key management roles in building National Technological University, a pioneer in the field of higher education distance learning, and ELS Language Centers, the largest teacher of intensive English language programs in the U.S. Matthew received a B.S. in business from the University of Colorado and holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School.
Gary Nelson has been President of Creative Learning Systems since 2002. In 1983, Gary founded Lab Technologies, a career and technical education distribution company that became the largest independent sales organization for Creative Learning Systems. Gary began his education career as a drafting and woods teacher and later served as a sales representative for educational products supplier, Brodhead-Garrett. Gary received a B.S. in education from the University of North Texas.
Kurt Williamson is Vice President for Learning Environments. Since joining Creative Learning Systems in 1997, Kurt has served in a wide range of capacities including installation and customer support, professional development, program development and design. Prior to joining the company, Kurt served five years as a SmartLab™ facilitator. Kurt holds B.S. in industrial science and technology from Colorado State University.
Shelley Nault is the Director of Operations for Creative Learning Systems. She joined the company in 1997. Shelley works closely with all departments, from sales to purchasing and everywhere in between. She also acts as installation coordinator, ensuring that schools are ready for SmartLab™ installations. Prior to joining Creative Learning Systems, Shelley worked for Deluxe Check Printers and spent four years in the US Navy after graduating from high school in Orland, California.
John Keesling is the Lead Systems Engineer at Creative Learning Systems. His first experience with Creative Learning Systems was as a SmartLab™ student; he spent most of his high school career exploring the many technologies and career options it offered. After an award-winning internship at Career Development Center co-facilitating his school SmartLab™, John began his career in education technology with nGen Solutions. As the head of the Media Production/Music Lab/CAD Lab wing, he trained teachers and students in the use of company technology. John started formally working with Creative Learning Systems as a contractor in 2002 and joined the company full-time in 2005.
