Churchill County Schools Named National Reference Sites

Congratulations to Churchill County Middle School and Churchill County High School in Fallon Nevada for being named SmartLab National Reference Sites! Regional Sales Manager Jeanne Timmons recently had the honor of presenting award plaques at each school. Shown here with Jeanne are Steve Heck, Sue Chambers, Lynn Strasdin and Chip Rutledge. We are very proud of our continued partnership with this outstanding and innovative school district.

The Making of Nighthawk Man

It's tremendously gratifying to see SmartLab programs evolve to set new standards in student achievement.

In the many years we have worked with Rocky Heights Middle School (Highlands Ranch, CO) we have watched them develop into one of the most impressive video production programs of any school in the country. Under the guidance of Scott Melanson and Tim Ryckman, Rocky Heights students produce live daily news broadcasts and award-winning videos that raise the bar for student productions - not just for middle schools, but for students at any grade level!

For the third year, Rocky Heights students have taken on the challenge of producing an original, feature-length movie. This year's movie, "Nighthawk Man: Origin" is a story about the school's very own super-hero. The following video segment,"The Making of Nighthawk Man" provides a glimpse into this ambitious student project.

Congratulations to the whole Rocky Heights team - both students and staff - on this impressive achievement!
