February 15, 2005 – CLS releases new report correlating TLM curriculum with national educational standards

Creative Learning Systems has released its new report correlating its proprietary Transdisciplinary Learning Media or TLM’s to national educational standards.  TLM’s provide the core curriculum for the company’s SmartLab learning environments.  The many project-based engagements and educational resources contained within the TLM’s address numerous curriculum standards as prescribed by national educational organizations.  These standards play an increasingly important role in guiding and measuring student achievement by school districts throughout the U.S.

Standards to which TLM content are correlated in the new report include:

  • National Science Education Standards
  • International Technology Education Association – Technology Content Standards
  • Principals and Standards for School Mathematics
  • The Secretary’s Report on Achieving Necessary Standards (SCANS)
  • Critical Thinking Consortium’s 35 Dimensions of Critical Thought
  • National Standards for History
  • Curriculum Standards for Social Studies (Grades 5-12)
  • Language Arts Standards: National Council of Teachers of English and International Reading Association Standards
  • National Standards for Arts Education
