Ashley Mathis is the Chief Executive Officer for Creative Learning Systems. A mission-driven education executive, Ashley joined the company in June 2020 and is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission to “engage every learner, every day” through high-quality, interdisciplinary, project-based learning environments and curriculum experiences that help students develop next-generation skills. Prior to joining Creative Learning Systems, Ashley previously spent 7 years at Teaching Strategies, where she most recently served as the company’s President and was responsible for sales, marketing, public policy, customer success, operations, and human resources. Ashley has nearly two decades of experience working in customer facing roles within education technology companies. Prior to joining Teaching Strategies, Ashley served in leadership positions at Discovery Education, where she led the company’s customer success, sales, and marketing efforts. Ashley holds a B.A. in Mass Communications and English Literature from Denison University.
Scott Hanlin is the Chief Operating Officer for Creative Learning Systems. Scott is responsible for delivering on the organization’s promise to provide students with hands-on, project-based learning experiences that ignite their passion for science, technology, engineering, and math, while empowering them to approach challenges with creativity. Prior to joining Creative Learning Systems in November 2020, Scott spent 15 years at the EdTech company Pearson, where he led various technology and delivery leadership roles. Most recently, Scott served as the Director of Development and Delivery for Pearson’s Classroom Assessment business. Scott holds a B.A. in Business Management and Organizational studies from the University of Iowa.
Lori Chaney is the Vice President of Sales for Creative Learning Systems. Lori began her career in the classroom and, as with many military families, she’s taught throughout the U.S. as well as Guam and Japan. After 20 years in the classroom—and being a Teacher of the Year finalist for the state of Virginia—Lori left the classroom to focus on professional development and ed tech integration. She has spent the past 12 years in sales and sales leadership. Lori holds a B.S. in elementary education from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in special education from Ball State University, and a second master’s degree in instructional technology from Troy State University.
Victor Fitzjarrald is the Vice President of Academic Services for Creative Learning Systems. Victor joined the company in 2015 after returning from South Korea where he was the Technology Director for the Korea International School. Prior to going into school administration, Victor was a high school math and science teacher and a SmartLab Facilitator in Denver. Victor holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Colorado College. Victor received his Administrative Certification from Johns Hopkins University in conjunction with the International Society for Technology in Education.
John Keesling is the Vice President of IT at Creative Learning Systems. His first experience with Creative Learning Systems was as a SmartLab student where he spent most of his high school career exploring its many technologies and career options. After an award-winning internship at Career Development Center co-facilitating his school SmartLab, John began his career in education technology with nGen Solutions. As the head of the Media Production/Music Lab/CAD Lab wing, he trained teachers and students in the use of company technology. John started formally working with Creative Learning Systems as a contractor in 2002 and joined the company full-time in 2005.
Lynn Hendrickson has been the Controller for Creative Learning Systems since 2018. He spent more than 26 years serving in various Chief Financial Officer positions for service, manufacturing, and distribution organizations. Lynn maintains an active CPA license in Colorado and is also a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He holds a B.B.A in accounting from the University of North Dakota and has been an active member of the AICPA throughout his career.
Shelley Nault is a Customer Relationship Specialist for Creative Learning Systems. She joined the company in 1997. Shelley works closely with all departments, from sales to purchasing and everywhere in between. Primarily, Shelley works closely with customers to ensure they are satisfied and supported with our customer-first approach. Prior to joining Creative Learning Systems, Shelley worked for Deluxe Check Printers and spent four years in the US Navy after graduating from high school in Orland, California.
